This year the school finally has a music program again. Mr. Ben Schierling is the new Rural Vista music teacher. So far we have heard from many students that they are having a great time and learning a lot of new things. There are students from K to 12th grade going to music. The music room is in the old fourth grade room. The students have been learning about playing chords on multiple different instruments. They’ve also started learning about woodwind instruments. Students are receiving instruments to play. They are first tested on the best "fit" for their interest. A lot of students have already improved on the guitar, piano, ukulele and bass. Mr Schierling is doing a great job at teaching, especially dealing with all the littles. Music is certain to be a great addition to our school.
