Our student journalists here at White City School recently had a chance to interview one of our great educational professionals. Her name is Mrs. Dallas Friedli. Mrs. Friedli is the Special Education teacher here. She teaches students that may need some extra help. When asked for a quote about her educational philosophy, Mrs. Friedli said, “Don’t be afraid to ask questions.” We asked her some questions regarding her years in teaching; Do you like being a teacher? “Yes, I love teaching here,” she said. We wondered what she thought had changed since last school year. A lot has changed for her, with her daughter attending the school this year, as well as having more students. Mrs. Friedli teaches in the resource room; she enjoys the extra space in the room. Mrs. Friedli is a fun and helpful teacher. She enjoys the other staff in the school and the students. Mrs. Friedli isn’t employed by the school, in fact she is employed by an outside organization called CKCIE (Central Kansas Cooperative in Education,) which is part of the Salina School District. This is a Special Education Cooperative that covers Special Education over 12 different districts in the center of Kansas. She has worked for CKCIE for 16 years, with 12 of those as a teacher.
