The school recently wanted to encourage everyone to be early. This was for Count Day. Count Day is the day that determines how many state dollars the school receives to run the school. According to the Kansas State Department of Education, "To count a student for funding purposes, the student must be enrolled and attending on count day ( September 20th) of the current school year." How to get students to come? Fun! Food! On Wednesday, September 20th, all elementary students were allowed to wear their pajamas to school. 8th-12th grade students had donuts in the cafeteria during their first period. The school principal - Mrs. Darelene Griffiths - bought the school all sorts of donuts. The donuts included glazed donuts, chocolate, vanilla, and sprinkles. Thanks, Mrs. Griffiths!
