Meet Ms. Samantha Rice. She is from White City, Kansas. She has been teaching preschool for 2 years and has been a para for 11 years. For Ms. Rice, White City is a family business. Her own son is in the 7th grade. Her mother works in administration. Her dad is the transportation supervisor for the school. When we asked her “Why do you like it here?” Ms. Sam answered with, “‘Cause the other staff members are easy to work with.” She went into teaching because she likes kids and is good at it. If she wasn't a teacher, she would be a nurse. She said the advantage of a small school is that you can have better relationships with your students. The hardest part of her job is planning. The easiest part of her job is the kids. She thinks they’re great.
