Ashley Snyder is one of our valued paraprofessionals here at White City. We wanted to find out all about Ms. Ashley.
In fact, Ms. Ashley was a Para here 5 years ago, took a break, and then came back in August. Before that, she did daycare for 10 years and worked in schools for 3 years. Ms. Ashley is a Para for kindergarten through 6th.
We asked about why she likes working at this school. She works here at White City because it enables her to be on her kid’s school schedule. She said having her kids near her because if something happens she could be pulled from class to deal with the problem. If she didn't work here, then she would have to respond to a call like any other parent.
Being a Para means that she gives extra help to students that need it. As a parent at school, she wants to comfort her own children, but not treat them differently. For sure, Ms. Ashley loves all the kids in the school and enjoys coming to work with them.
The best part of her job is all of the warm hugs from little people.
