Paras are Participating: Melissa Oswald

On January 26th, 2024, Ms. Melissa Oswald was interviewed. We asked a series of questions over email, and soon after received the answers. Thank you for answering our questions. According to her, she loves to work at White City! Ms. Melissa has been here for 6 years. She likes to work here because she can help the kids. Ms. Melissa prefers White City over any other school as she has built relationships with the staff and kids; she considers them her family. According to her, she came here from Herington because of the better small-town atmosphere. Her job is as a paraprofessional. She works with kids - a wide cross section of them - from Kindergarten to 7th. In total, she works with 9 grades. She occasionally works with High Schoolers as well. Her job is helping the children who have difficulties learning. She provides “instructional,” and “non-instructional” services to students who may require “individualized” support to reach their full potential; she personally loves helping in Math class. A nice little quote from Ms Melissa is, “There’s no angry way to say BUBBLES!”
