We’ve recently been talking to the various paraprofessionals who help make classes possible.
Leanna Coons has been a para here for two years. At the moment, Leanna is a para for preschool and second grade. Leanna wanted to be a para because she likes to work with the kids. We asked her about the specific responsibilities of her job. She helps kids with their work, and she reads to them. We wanted to know the biggest challenge of being a para. She said the biggest challenge is kids not listening. Still, the job is highly rewarding. The best part of her job is seeing the kids expand their learning. She has worked here at the school before. She worked in the cafeteria 3 times and also worked at the daycare. Additionally, Leanna is a recess teacher. We want to thank her for the work she does for education here at White City.
