I recently had the opportunity to interview Ashley Snyder, one of the employees at the After School Program here at White City School. The After School Program is a program which students can attend from 3:10 onwards. This provides a convenient option for parents who might still be at work. It is also a place where the students can get help with their homework. I asked Ashley Snyder how many students attend the After School Program. She replied, “It depends on the day. There are 9-18 students per day.”
I asked Ashley how long she had been doing the After School Program. She said that she started with the program in December, 2023. Finally, I asked her why the After School Program was important. She said, “The After School Program is important because it allows parents to continue their work schedule and knowing that their children are being cared for, and getting their homework finished is a big plus.” Ms Janice Benner, one of our school custodians, as well as various students, assist Ms. Snyder with the After School Program.
