The Scholar’s Bowl team had a great season!  This is a recap of the season.  Scholar’s Bowl is an academic competition.  Teams of up to five students compete in categories like Math, Science, Language Arts, Fine Arts, Social Sciences, and Year in Review.  A correct question is worth 10 points.  An incorrect answer is a deduction of 10 points.

The Scholars Bowl team first went to Little River for their first meet.  At the meet, the team won the first round by 20 points. Then as they went to the next round the questions were a little challenging.  They ended up losing 30-60.  Then the Scholars Bowl team struggled for the next four rounds, before winning their last round, with a score of 30-10. The final result of all rounds was 2-5.  Unfortunately, Rural Vista was last place among the schools.  Some of the teams they faced included: Canton-Galva, Centre, Goessel, Herington, Little River, Solomon, Wakefield.

On 2/1/24, the team traveled to Randolph-Blue Valley High School to compete against the Senior/Junior team, with Senior level difficulty questions. For this reason, it was challenging for the 3 Freshmen that were at the event.  They won a round, and took it as a positive win.  After this, however, the team had academic trouble, and lost 5 other rounds. Some of the teams they faced were: Solomon, Washington County, Onaga,High-Land Doniphan West, Frankfort,Allen-Northern Heights.
