Coach Denny Crable has welcomed another exchange student this year. Yuri Rossi is an exchange student from Piacenza, in Northern Italy. Yuri is a Senior. He came here to experience new things and get to know more people. White City isn’t what he expected it to be. Actually, he expected White City and the school to be bigger.
Yuri says that the classes here are easier than the classes back at his old school. Yuri has been to 4 different schools. He went to different schools for Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School, and High School.
Yuri feels weird about driving, because in Italy he won’t be able to drive until he is 18. In Kansas, a young person can drive at the age of 14. Yuri hopes to come back to White City, but also to go somewhere else in America.
In regards to his educational future, Yuri plans to go to University after High School. Before that, Yuri has one more year of High School back in Italy. He hopes to become a teacher. He wants to become either a Physics or Math teacher.
