Exemplary Teacher and Student Award Evan Tate was recognized by the MW Grand Lodge of AF and AM of Kansas for his perfect attendance the first quarter of this school year. Evan received a certificate and a $25 gift card. Mrs. Kim Stilwell was recognized by the MW Grand Lodge of AF and AM of Kansas for being an exemplary teacher at White City Schools. Mrs. Stilwell received a certificate and a $50 gift card.

High School Football will play at Axtell on Friday. Kick off is set for 7pm and the game will be live streamed on NFHS Network! (It will either be on Axtell's NFHS network or KSHSAA's)

With a majority of our staff having children and wanting to participate in the Halloween parade, we are short 2 gate workers for the Football game. If you are interested in helping please contact the school! We would need you to work from 5:30-7:30ish. Thanks!

JH Basketball and HS Football practices will end at 5:00 today. As always, if you do not feel comfortable sending your child to practice let us know and we will send them home. P/T Conferences will continue as planned!

High School Football Week 9 will be played at White City on 10/31 with a 7pm kick vs Waverly. Go Heat!

What parents need to know . . . There will be no preschool that day. No breakfast offered. Bus will run 2 hours later for pick up in the morning. Do not drop off your child prior to 9:45 am as there will not be supervision. School will start promptly at 10:00.

Due to sickness and transportation issues, JHFB practice will be in Hope today and HSFB practice will be in WC. Volleyball practices will stay as planned. Sorry for any inconvenience! 10/16/2024

Dear USD 481 Parents/Guardians , We want to remind you that if your family qualifies for Summer EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) benefits this year based on your participation in the free and reduced-priced meals program during the 2023-24 school year, then you may qualify for grocery assistance. This program provides $120 in grocery assistance during the summer months when school meals are not available for income-eligible students to receive free and reduced-priced meals at school. To receive these benefits, you must create an account with the Department of Children and Families and apply for the SEBT at https://cssp.kees.ks.gov/apspssp/sspNonMed.portal# Act soon, because the form deadline ends on October 15th! You will be asked to provide your name, your child’s name, school, date of birth, and address. You will also be asked to report your household’s income. To apply, you do not need to provide any other documents or information, including your social security number or proof of citizenship. Benefits will be distributed within 15 days of a form being submitted. More information can be found through DCF’s Summer EBT fact sheet, found here. *While many families received this benefit through auto-issuance, if you believe your children qualify but have not received this benefit, please apply by October 15th.
